As a discerning traveler with an eye for both luxury and value, my recent stay at Gasthaus Zur Alten Post left me with mixed feelings. the authentic building exudes charm, the room was spacious and surprisingly well-equipped with a private shower and insect net. the hospitable staff, though limited in English, tried their best to assist. However, for the price paid, I expected more amenities such as room service or a welcome drink. the location near the lake and ferry terminal was convenient, but the lack of Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV in the room felt outdated. While the traditional restaurant served delightful meals, the overall experience fell short on the luxury front. For those seeking a budget-friendly stay with basic comforts, Gasthaus Zur Alten Post fits the bill, but those craving a touch of indulgence may want to explore other options.
